Job Description

• First and foremost, as part of strategy to promote its operational effectiveness and service quality delivery, Internal Control.
• Also, as part of enhancement Group seeks to employ eligible qualified and self-motivated persons to join the Team/ staff as  Control Officers in Lagos, North, Far North, South East, South-South and South West.
• Similarly, the search is open to old staff with the required skills set and track records of success and achievement at all level.
•  More so to be giving full reports to the  Control Manager, the ideal candidates will have the responsibility for monitoring, testing and enhancing controls embedded  in the  policies, procedures, standards and practices governing branch  banking / head office department activities within designated cluster / departments of coverage in the institution.

Other necessary responsibilities  include:

1. Importantly, to assist fully in providing control advisory and support service to Branches / units.
2. Also, to be fully involved in reviewing IT Control Reports and ensure the closure/escalation on noted exceptions.
3. Likewise, to carry out researches on fraudulent/ scarm activities, unusual incident and other irregular activities at all level.
4. Additionally, to conduct maiden visit to newly created branches to assess the control environment and other equipment for physical control.
5. Finally, to see to full documentation of all observed policy/procedural breaches during control functions.

Academic Qualifications | Skill Requirements

As usual, it is also necessary for all interested applicants to take note of the fact that the above recruitment is based on the following requirements;

•  First and foremost, a good first degree or HND in any relevante discipline such as Accounting, Sciences, etc
•   Secondly, basic understanding of banking structure, policies and procedures and essence of a strong control environment is required.
• Also, a Good knowledge on  business environment, regulatory frame work and risk management.
• Ability to gather, analyze and interpret data is of great importance.
• Similarly, knowledge of the banking industry, applicable tariff and banking services/products and financial/business analysis is required.
• Lastly, an excellent knowledge and use of banking applications and core business processes is an added advantage.
