However, we hereby bring to your notice that the University of Port Harcourt has kindly invited candidates who chose the UNIPORT as First or Second choice in the 2017 Unified Matriculation Examination (UTME) and scored 180 and above, to apply for her 2017/2018 Screening Exercise for admission into the University for the upcoming academic session. As a matter of fact, the University will not admit candidates into Geology department for the 2017/2018 academic session. Hence, candidates who chose Geology in their UTME are hereby advised to apply for any of the related department. However, they are to advised to apply for JAMB change of course to any of their preferred course. The registration portal opens on Wednesday, 30th August, 2017 to Monday, 11th September, 2017. ONLINE REGISTRATION PROCEDURE:
- Firstly, visit www.uniport.edu.ng
- Then, enter yourUTME Registration Number and confirm pre-loaded UTME details.
- Then, print slip for payment
- Proceed to any of the of the commercial Banks in Nigeria to make the payment of N2000, correctly with the RRR generated.
- Therefore, proceed to the portal again and then input the access code on payment slip.
- Then, complete the Form online as requested.
- Also upload your passport photograph, (red background and 1 x 1 inch. only)
- Finally, submit the form. Also printout the acknowledgment slip, with the exam date and time written on it.
IMPORTANT NOTES:
However, it should be noted that, any CANDIDATE WHO FAILs TO REGISTER WITHIN THE REGISTRATION PERIOD, WILL NOT BE DISQUALIFIED FOR THE SCREENING EXERCISE.DAY/DATE OF EXERCISE FOR THE VARIOUS FACULTIES:

- Thursday, 21st September, 2017 -Physiology/Anatomy/Dentistry/Nursing
- Friday, 22nd September, 2017 -Medicine and Surgery
- Saturday, 23rd September, 2017 -Medicine and Surgery
- Monday, 25th September, 2017 -Second Choice Candidates
MATERIALS NEEDED FOR POST-UTME SCREENING EXERCISE:
- Candidates are required to come with the following materials:
- A clear copy of the photo Card printed online and a pen.
- A photocopy of O’Level Examination Certificate(s) (WASCE, GCE, NECO, NABTEB in not more than two sittings).
- Birth Certificate/ affidavit of Age Declaration.
AGE LIMIT:
However, candidates must be minimum of sixteen (16) years of age by October, 2017.
